The space

Not to be all self-helpy this week, but I wanted to share this lovely quote. 


I shake my head in disbelief at my kids' occasional complete lack of impulse control. But I have the same problem sometimes. I love the thought of taking ownership of that space before I react to anything. I also love the thought of world peace and free cookies for all, but you know. One miracle at a time.

    Great quote. I have recently thought about self control, and how I don't seem to have any when it comes to things like getting exercise and eating chocolate icecream. I appreciated Elder Cook saying "self-control is a muscle" and Pres. Uchtdorf saying "start where you are". I will add this one to those.
