Baby Huggums

Ida's favorite doll is this Baby Huggums which was a gift from Aunt Phoebe when Ida was born. She sleeps with it at night and carries it everywhere during the day. Gotta love the Baby Huggums.

Today during "play school" which was at our house, I emptied Ida's box of baby doll stuff for the kids to play with but found myself dressing all the baby dolls and packing their little doll diaper bag with the essentials like fake baby food and fake juice in a sippy cup. Probably had a little too much fun but I'm OK with it.

  1. I always loved "playing" with the doll stuff you girls had - I think it's lifetime love! Once I made doll clothes for Bonny's doll and Dad commented, "Are you doing that for Bonny or for you?"

  2. So glad the love of the Huggums lives on! Agnes was dragging 2 of hers around today. She has decided they are twins- Dora and Baby Eliza. How funny is that?!

  3. I feel guilty writing this, but I want a little girl more and more. I mean, I'm okay if I never get a girl, really. But, I find myself daydreaming of buying dolls and playing dress up. Sometimes I can hardly stand to play with another car or train. Not that a girl can't like cars and train and a boy can't like dolls. But, so far, my boys are total "boys."

I really do feel guilty writing that.
