When they're parking their cars on your chest, you've still got a view of the summer sky.

I finally loaded all my January pictures but can't edit them until I put some software on here that works. A lot of the best ones are vertical and therefore currently sideways...I'll get them on here eventually. I love this picture because it shows just how much Ida liked being out in a foot of snow. She was cold and couldn't walk. I don't blame the girl for pouting. Fortunately she sat there long enough for me to salvage what I could of this tree.

I think you can probably tell which tree lost the battle with the snow after this particular storm. They were both surprisingly resilient though although one took it harder than the other. Before I shook the snow off, the branches of both trees were so weighed down you could see pretty much the entire window.

New topic. So I haven't been feeling the best lately. I was having a particularly crappy day when a friend came over because she needed help. Not surprisingly, it was just what I needed. Second thing I needed was to swim a few hundred meters this morning which finally killed the beastly migraine I couldn't shake.

Third thing I needed was to wake up this morning to my kids' huge smiles right in my face. Ida: "I had a good REST? I came UPSTAIRS? I need a new DIAPER and some BREAKFAST?"

Life is good, and it's cold but the sky is blue and all that snow is almost gone. Please--don't come back! Migraines are not welcome either, but friends are.

P.S.

  5. Those are funny pictures. It's like they're relaxing on the lawn on a beautiful spring day. Except for the pouts, the snow, and snowsuits of course.
