Here's me, or my torso, at 39 weeks. Finally it's documented for those of you who don't see me lumbering around the town every day: I am in fact pregnant! At my 39-week appointment my doctor told me, "Momma, if anyone can do a VBAC, you can." Granted I haven't passed the "dreaded" 40- or 41-week marks yet, but it still felt good to hear that from The Man. I need a dose of confidence right about now!
You are exceptionally cute as a pregnant chick. Love it.
ReplyDeleteAnd he's right, if anyone can do a VBAC, you can. You go girl.
cute tee shirt!
ReplyDeleteand i love that your doc calls you momma.
and you can do a vbac - consider this another vote of confidence.
You can totally do it...is it so awkward when your doctor calls you that? It would creep me out, I wouldn't be able to go back.
ReplyDeleteHe calls all his patients that. He also calls me "m'lady" and he calls Theo "Mr. Man." For some reason because he is older (around 60) and foreign (from Cameroon) it doesn't bother me. It does bug me, though, when Theo's pediatrician, a younger American woman, calls me "Mom." I'm not sure what that says about me.
ReplyDeleteLooking great! You're almost there.... Good luck!
ReplyDeleteKeep me posted!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
ReplyDeleteI assist a pediatrician once every two weeks and I definitely call all the moms "Mom" because I'm afraid I'll get their names wrong. In the sense of "the mom in this situation," not "someone who could be my mom."
ReplyDeleteBut creep-out factor noted. I'll work on that.
oh btw YOU CAN DO IT!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a boy. Not you, yo' belly. And that boy is totally going to be born VBAC style.
ReplyDeleteMy mantra before giving birth the first time was, "billions of women have done this, I can do this!" Stay calm, relax, and I'm sure you can do it! I love reading birth stories and I can't wait to read yours.
