Jess is cutting my shaggy hair next week and I am trying to decide from among the following:
growing out my bangs and cutting off the mullet, resulting in a Sienna Millerish look,
orrrr, going back with another Sienna look with shorter bangs, only less trashy/whiny-faced,
orrrrr, attempting to emulate the love of my life, '60s Julie Andrews. (only more boyish, so without the parted-with-bangs look from Sound of Music.)
This is what my face looks like, speaking of 90s hair.
This is what Theo's face looks like (objection, irrelevant).
What would you do?Try not to let personal feelings get in the way. Clearly I am cooler than Sienna, and Julie is cooler than both of us, but it's about the hair.
I totally like the longer bangs in the front (the first picture of Sienna). If I wasn't growing out my mop of hair I would want something like that.
ReplyDeleteI think the shorter in the back/ angled foward look is very chic. Plus if you go grow your bangs out then you can always put them behind your ear or use a bobby pin to keep them back when you don't feel like styling them.
If you trust your stylist, go for short!

ReplyDeleteWell, I have always loved your hair! I've always thought to myself (in every picture I see of you) "I wish my hair looked like that". Being a short hair gal myself I, in fact, have had both of these hair cuts. Personally, I think you look really good with bangs, but the second pic of sienna would be hard to maintain because they would grow out fast. My suggestion in to aim for haircut #1 (because tucking behind ears is so convenient and looks cute) but put some bangs blended into the long bang so you still have them around your face.

i am a fan of really short or really long. bummer it takes a bit of time to get from short to long.
