Don't Forget Your Booties

"It's like I said...I love this film. I've seen it over a hundred times."

I hope you all enjoyed your Groundhog Day and that you watched and loved the Bill Murray film last night as so many other people did the world over.

Groundhog Day also happens to be my grandpa's birthday. Represent!

Here is a sampling of the cardie and booties that Next-Door-Neighbor Olga made for Theo before he was born. Next-Door-Neighbor Olga and her husband Gus come from Chile. They are retired and don't see their grandchildren very often, so they like to visit with Theo and me and hold him and give him his chup. He likes them too.

Um...then he spit up all over the sweater.

  1. Love the photos - thanks!! We here on the west coast need to keep up with the boy's growth and burgeoning charm!!

And love the booties!! I've always loved booties - my kids had many - made by Grandma Stevens and my Aunt Dorothy - not to be confused with Dad's Aunt Dorothy - whose specialty was apple pie.

And when we did Groundhog's Day Bingo yesterday - and a Groundhog's Day maze, wordsearch and puzzle, not a single student knew about the movie!!

I need to change this cultural wasteland that is middle school!

  3. I'm glad that Mom sees Groundhog Day (movie) as such an important aspect of our cultural awareness. Because I do too.

And, never fear, we brought joy to the hearts of many when we busted out GD to cap off a night of endless partying.

  4. Yes, here in omaha we must have a lota culture because our friends initiated GD movie/trivia on the good ol' second of february. Did Phil see his shadow this year? anyone? anyone? favorite line: "I charge it like a bull. That's me, Ned the bull, Ned the bull" as well as "did you mean to talk about the weather or were you just making friendly chit chat." Mrs. Conner's response actually is what's golden.
