Big Day
Today's milestone:
I fit into my Freshman Fifteen pants. (One pair each of orange cords and red cords, to be exact)
OK, it was actually more like Freshman Twenty, well anyway they fit! And they are only a little bit mombuttish.*
Perhaps it follows without saying that I also fit into my Study Abroad Twenty-five pants. (These are jeans)
Add these to the Levi's Misses jeans I bought on clearance at Target 2 weeks ago and now I have four pairs to work with until I'm allowed to/want to/am physically able to exercise again. These are milestones that matter.
*Mombutt pants: noun. Pants with back pockets that are placed (or place themselves) unflatteringly high on the rear. Also called "classic fit," "natural waist," or, if manufactured before 2002, "low waist." See also "mombutt," adj. Etymology: Marin Apartments, Provo, UT, circa 2000

Congratulations! After Natalie I was tired of wearing maternity pants and it became appartent that I was NOT going to slim down on my own enough to fit into my own jeans. So I bought new pants. Best thirty dollars I spent on myself. Self image is important after giving birth.
ReplyDeleteI take it the new bouncer arrived. Does Theo seem to like it?
ReplyDeleteah yes, and nothing like those enormous bazooms to add to the slender feel as well.
ReplyDeleteI wish you could hear the creepy laugh I make whenever I see that second picture... Megan calls it my witch cackle. Because I just want to eat him all up.
ReplyDeleteHey Eliza!
ReplyDeleteYour comment about MOM JEANS totally just inspired me to relive this awesome SNL sketch.
Ha, have you seen it? Totally hilarious!

PS > Theo is ADORABLE! Cutest kid ever.
He is a real cutie! Well done.
ReplyDeleteGood golly, already?? You are one lucky son-of-a-gun! I gotta tell you, I love to come on to your site all the time just to see the most AWESOME pics of Theo!! They are sooo good, and he is one adorable subject. Congrads on the pants:)
ReplyDeleteOh Melissa, too funny. I love it. Fortunately mine are not nearly that unflattering.
ReplyDeleteMy maternity pants are much more flattering and cute than these old pants of mine, but the "under the belly" cut waists (I never did enjoy the panel pants) are not so comfortable on my incision. Bummer.
