"Do the chickens have large talons?"

Newest addition to my ward: a bouncing baby boy named Talon. T-A-L-O-N. Isn't that kind of weird?? No offense to the parents, or to anyone else with kids named Talon, but...hm. I'm curious if they know what a "talon" actually is.

  1. Talons are indeed long "toenails" that birds have - a very strange name for a child - right up there with Caden and Baden and all those other -en names. I wouldn't think of fowl, I'd think of zippers - every zipper I've ever bought was a Talon Zipper - and I'm not sure why they chose that name for their brand - it's a pretty old brand - we used Talon brand zippers when I was just a wee lassie!

  2. I hate the word "toenail." Gross.

Talon Zippers, eh? Now it's "YKK on your zipper" (quoth Andre 3000).
